Build a Base RNG progression is not a straight rarity ladder. The stable route alternates between rolling for options, placing them into a working base, defending a repeatable wave, reading the first failure, and buying one improvement. The official description confirms Roll, Build, Defend, becoming rich, and offline fighting. Current guides consistently add Skills, Luck, Auto Roll, object upgrades, and Index claims, but exact names, costs, caps, and formulas still require the live interface.
Use Rolling & Luck for acquisition decisions, Best Upgrades for spending order, Money & Coins for stable income tests, Offline Progress for return settlement, and Index Guide for collection claims. The existing F2P Progression guide ties them into a no-Robux session plan.
Finish one complete progression loop
Roll until you can place a contact role and a damage role. Build them where both contribute, then defend a wave. Mark the first untouched lane segment, destroyed barrier, surviving group, durable target, or cleanup failure. That observation determines the next branch.
If enemies pass through empty space, change layout. If pieces contribute but covered enemies remain healthy, compare a damage or object upgrade. If the current base works and future options are the bottleneck, compare rolling speed or Luck. If collection entries are claimable, collect the visible Index value before spending more.
Repeat the same wave after one change. The change becomes progression only when the failure moves later or the same result becomes more reliable.
Choose the next system from the failure
Rolling and Luck progression
Current sources describe a dice or roll control, Auto Roll, Luck upgrades, faster rolling, Index-related Luck, and other possible modifiers. Read the current panel before naming a node or planning a cost. Auto Roll is useful when it removes repeated clicking while you manage the base, but it should not delete a complete working set or drain a resource needed for the current bottleneck.
Keep at least one functional block or trap and one contributing weapon. Replace one item at a time. Better future rolls have value after the current layout already uses available pieces; otherwise placement is the direct upgrade.
The Rarities & Odds guide explains why displayed base odds, effective Luck, and observed results must remain separate.
Skills and object upgrades
Current walkthroughs name Luck, Auto Roll, faster rolls, gold rolls, friend-related Luck, and placement or capacity improvements. Some publish exact costs that may already be stale. Use the live Skill Tree or upgrade panel for the names, prerequisites, currencies, and effects.
Prioritize broad quality-of-life or acquisition upgrades when the base is stable and the next problem is option flow. Prioritize object durability or damage when a contributing piece narrowly fails. Prioritize placement capacity only when every current slot has a useful job and another role is truly missing.
Keep a reserve before a large purchase. An update, new event weapon, or verified crafting recipe can change the next best use of coins.
Money and reinvestment
Treat coins as the output of a repeatable base. Choose the highest wave that clears consistently, record the visible result, and reinvest in the first weak layer. A lower repeatable wave can be more useful than frequent failures, but no universal payout curve is asserted.
Separate boss rewards and offline settlement from normal-wave income. Bosses may award relics for crafting rather than serving as the best coin route. Offline fighting is official, but its rate and cap are not published. Compare each route on its own result screen.
Use Money & Coins before calling any route “fast.”
Index progression
Current guides agree that the Index records discoveries and offers claimable value; some also report Luck benefits. Open the live Index after new rolls, claim visible completed entries, and read whether a reward applies immediately or requires a button.
Do not chase completion by removing necessary roles. A new common entry can be worthwhile, but the base still needs to defend. Keep variants, shiny states, mutations, and event items separate until the Index shows how they count.
The Index Guide provides a clean discovery record and recovery checklist.
Offline and boss branches
Before logging out, qualify a stable layout actively. Record the time, layout, Skills, items, and resources, then capture the settlement before spending. Repeat a similar window before describing a rate. Use Offline Layout for geometry and Offline Progress for account decisions.
For bosses, confirm the current mode first. A recent official description promoted custom attacks, relics, and crafting; the current description promotes Tsunami. Use one boss attempt as a baseline and keep exact waves, drops, and recipes tied to the live interface.
Progression FAQ
What is the best progression order?
Complete one working base, diagnose the first failure, make one layout or object improvement, then improve rolling, Luck, Index, money, offline, and bosses as their specific bottlenecks appear.
Should I buy Luck or damage first?
Test layout first when enemies pass untouched. Test object damage when covered enemies survive. Test Luck separately once current items already form a stable base.
Is Auto Roll mandatory?
No. It is a community-documented convenience. Read the live effect and currency, then buy it when automation helps without sacrificing the active bottleneck.
How do I progress without Robux?
Preserve a working set, claim Index value, farm a stable wave, compare offline settlement, and complete one upgrade target at a time. See F2P Progression.
Are exact costs listed?
No. Public guides disagree or can become stale; the current Skill Tree and item panel are the authority.
